Our Journey in Corporate Finance
From a small Adelaide startup to Australia's trusted platform for corporate finance education. Here's how we've grown alongside our community of financial professionals.
The Beginning: A Vision Takes Shape
Three finance professionals, frustrated with the gap between academic theory and real-world application, decided to change how corporate finance is taught. Working from a converted warehouse space in Adelaide, we started with a simple belief: finance education should be practical, accessible, and directly applicable to daily work challenges.
- Founded by former investment bankers and corporate finance directors
- Initial focus on bridging theory-practice gap in Australian market
- First cohort of 23 finance professionals from local Adelaide firms
- Emphasis on case-study methodology using actual Australian companies
Expansion and Recognition
The shift to remote learning during 2020 unexpectedly opened doors we hadn't considered. What started as necessity became opportunity — suddenly, finance teams across Australia could access our programs without travel constraints. By 2021, we'd evolved into something much larger than our founders initially envisioned.
- Transitioned to hybrid learning model combining online and in-person elements
- Expanded reach to over 400 finance professionals across five Australian states
- Developed partnerships with mid-tier accounting firms and corporate finance divisions
- Introduced specialized tracks for different experience levels and industry sectors
Innovation and Community Building
Last year marked our transition from education provider to genuine learning community. We realized our graduates weren't just completing programs — they were forming lasting professional networks and continuing to learn from each other long after formal training ended. This insight reshaped everything we do.
- Launched peer mentoring programs connecting recent graduates with experienced professionals
- Established ongoing professional development workshops and industry updates
- Created alumni network spanning over 800 finance professionals across Australia
- Introduced advanced practitioner tracks for senior finance managers and directors
